Are you immediately available and looking for a Financial Controller position that can utilise your existing skills? We are currently looking for a Financial Controller for a large Manufacturing company in Wrexham. This role is key to the group and you will have 3 people reporting directly into you. You will be reporting directly into the Site General Manager and you will be responsible for accurately reflecting the current and forecasted financial position of the companies Wrexham site to enable you to use that information to help improve the future performance of the business.

The company designs and manufactures specialist filtration components and assemblies for the aerospace and defence industries and in 2015 the company received The Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade Award – the UK's highest accolade for business success so you really will be working for the best in the industry.

The ideal candidate

You will have previous experience of working in a senior financial management role and be either ACCA or CIMA qualified. The company will require you to have a working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, Standard costing, Variance Analysis and Inventory accounting so manufacturing experience is essential. You'll be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel and have in depth knowledge of the workings of a modern ERP System.

What will you be doing?

• Manage the Wrexham Finance and IT departments
• Ensure all financial statements are accurate, understood, timely and auditable
• Drive local management towards maximising profitability and operating cashflow returns
• Present financial results and KPIs relevant to objectives to the Board
• Present accurate forecasts and budgets that are supported by the local management team
• Continually improve processes in and outside of the Finance department to speed up reporting and minimise the Finance team's manual intervention
• Manage the onsite Payroll activities
