Salary: up to £60,307 pa including allowances Salary Breakdown: • Salary - pay band 13, £49,188 to £55,290 pa • Allowances -acting up allowance takes the basic gross salary to £54,205 to £60,307pa Hours: An average of 37 hours per week (including evenings, weekends and public holidays) worked over a shift pattern that covers the hours from 0530 to 2400, 7 days a week. We are looking for a Duty Port Operations Manager (Relief) to provide cover for the team of three Duty Port Operations Managers (DPOMs) who are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Portsmouth International Port (PIP) between the hours of 0530 and midnight. You need to be able to accept operational telephone calls out of hours when there is no operational management on site. When you are not providing cover for DPOM absences, your hours of work will be Monday to Friday 0900 to 1700. You will assist the FPM as required and deputise in his absence. You will supervise the operational staff and ensure that all operational posts are adequately covered. You will have a seagoing marine background with ideally a minimum Chief Mate Reg II/2 Unlimited Certificate of Competency Candidates with relevant comparable port management experience at a senior supervisory level, preferably in a RO/RO port, may also be considered
