As Fittleworth continue to develop and expand our tech capabilities, we are looking for a Network Administrator to join our team and support this journey. Reporting into the IT Manager, the Network Administrator's responsibilities will include:

• Assist in network design and implementation as well as integration to internal and third party systems
• Installation, configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of Fittleworth networks ensuring user access to the services they need, network availability and acceptable response times
• Troubleshoot network errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritising problems, and assessing impact of incidents
• Manage, optimise and maintain the network-monitoring tool in order to ensure complete monitoring of network, services, hardware and applications to provide optimal performance and consistent end user experience
• Provide documentation and technical specifications to other IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
• Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
• Support disaster recovery and back-up initiative by capacity planning network throughput for remote service restoration
• Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades, monitor policies and enforce adherence

Skills required to be successful:

• Higher education in Computer Network or related subject
• Certification in networking (ie. Cisco, Juniper, FortiNet)
• Strong general IT knowledge with proven experience with WAN & LAN, cloud-based telephony systems, business continuity, network monitoring, supporting Microsoft Azure and 365 services, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 
• Good understanding of the seven OSI layers 
• Networking professional’s membership (ie. IET, IEEE)
• Passion for technology and its application to resolve business problems
• Possess analytical and problem-solving skills with a desire to learn and develop
• Positive collaborator and driven by delivering results for end-users / customers
• Full UK Driving License

This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday, 08:45am – 17:15pm.
