Our mission is to provide outstanding education and advance knowledge within a supportive community. We are expanding our Nursing academic provision within our new School of Nursing and Allied Health; this is an exciting opportunity to help grow and shape the future of our Nursing and Allied Health in West Sussex. Our current health-related portfolio across the University includes Social Work and Social Care, Psychology, Counselling, Nutrition, Sports Therapy, Biomechanics, Public Health, and most recently BSc/MSc programmes in Physiotherapy.

Our BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing course is already recognised by the NMC for academic quality, innovation and close relationships to healthcare and wider sectors in which our graduates work. Led by an ambitious development strategy, an opportunity has arisen to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Nursing to enable successful implementation and develop further portfolio opportunities. At Senior Lecturer level the post holder will be expected to lead the development of new courses and engage in the planning, design and leadership of teaching and research activity, in addition to making wider contributions with partners and activity associated with the School and University.

Ideally candidates will have knowledge, experience and skills to lead a Nursing curriculum, contribute to our evolving research strategy and enable contemporary contribution within the field of acute care practice. The successful candidate will demonstrate emotional intelligence, be pro-active, enthusiastic and enjoy working as a team.
