The Role
MotorSport Vision is looking for an experienced Bricklayer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis at Donington Hall.
Working across the Donington Hall estate, including the historic Walled Garden, you will play an important role in maintaining and restoring the boundary wall surrounding the Hall, along with supporting the development and upkeep of buildings, structures and outdoor spaces.
This is a varied, hands-on position, providing the opportunity to work on a significant heritage project within a unique estate. The successful candidate will take pride in delivering a high standard of workmanship and have an appreciation for working with heritage buildings and traditional construction techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out bricklaying, blockwork and associated masonry work across the estate
- Undertake repairs, restoration and maintenance of existing brickwork and structures including the perimeter wall
- Assist with building alterations, renovations and improvement projects
- Work with a range of traditional materials and techniques
- Interpret drawings, measurements and specifications to complete work accurately
- Ensure work is completed to a consistently high standard, with particular attention to finish and detail
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Support the wider Estates team with general maintenance and building tasks when required.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with relevant health and safety requirements
About You
We are looking for an experienced Bricklayer who takes genuine pride in their work and enjoys working in a varied environment.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience working as a Bricklayer or in a similar masonry/building role, with experience working on heritage restorations
- Strong practical skills and an excellent standard of workmanship.
- Good knowledge of bricklaying techniques, materials and tools
- The ability to work from drawings, measurements and specifications
- A strong eye for detail, particularly when working on existing or heritage buildings
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- A flexible and practical approach to working across a large estate
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A full UK driving licence is essential
